Based on the results of the Phase I drilling program, which successfully discovered a new gold bearing hydrothermal system similar in size, shape and ore controlling characteristics to the nearby Aurora mining district, NGE believes that the Fletcher Junction project warrants further drilling.
NGE recommends that the next work program test the inferred bedrock highs beneath the ridges mapped in the basalt flow which are believed to be the source of the anomalous gold in both groundwater and the quartz boulders. NGE believes that these target areas can be evaluated with a handful of angled core holes to test for steeply-dipping, high-grade, quartz-adularia veins similar to those encountered within the Aurora mining district.
In preparation for Phase II drilling, NGE is working with the US Forest Service on a new Plan of Operations. In 2009 and 2010, NGE’s consultants completed the required botany, wildlife, and cultural surveys. The new Plan has been submitted to the US Forest Service and it is currently under final review.
