Regional Geologic Context

The Bull Creek exploration property is located in a region of long-lived tectonic, magmatic, and hydrothermal activity.  The distribution and characteristics of tectonism, magmatism, volcanism, structure, alteration and mineralization at a regional scale show that mineralization at Bull Creek will likely be: (1) associated with the beginning of normal Basin and Range extension; (2) spatially related to 17.0 to 15.5Ma and perhaps 4.0Ma bimodal basalt-rhyolite volcanic centers; and (3) oriented along deep-seated, N-S regional magnetic trends paralleling the West, Central and Eastern Northern Nevada Rift Zones.  At a district scale, undiscovered mineralization will likely be related to poorly-exposed Tertiary volcanic centers, located off-board the exposed mountain ranges and covered by post-mineral volcanic rocks and alluvium.

Geologic mapping of exposed range fronts adjacent to the Bull Creek property has identified altered, brecciated, and silicified quartz-feldspar porphyry rhyolite that reported enrichment in gold, arsenic, and potassium indicative of a Sleeper-style hydrothermal system.  The small range front exposure provides direct evidence that potential Sleeper-style host rock, alteration and mineralization may be located a short distance to the east beneath the cover of sand and gravel on the Bull Creek property.
